Tiptree cottage is a small building constructed of cob, located on the outskirts of Christchurch and dates from circa 1862. The cottage was structurally damaged during the Canterbury earthquakes.
DPA Architects was commissioned to prepare a management and temporary protection plan assessing the impacts on the heritage values of the place. The plan ensured that the cottage would be protected through excavation and beyond. Work to restore the building is currently being documented.
