In addition to seismic strengthening, new shopfronts were created for two luxury retail stores and a new lightbox canopy was added that extends the length of the building’s Queen Street façade. The entry to the building was also relocated to a new position that matches the original shopfront configuration. The heritage building designed by William Alfred Holman is a finely detailed example of the Edwardian Baroque architectural style and with its elegant façade now makes a valuable contribution to Queen Street.
